Brian May is the guitarist of Queen, known for his distinctive sound using the "Red Special" guitar. Born on July 19, 1947, he is also an astrophysicist with a Ph.D. and an advocate for animal rights. May co-wrote many of Queen's hits, like "We Will Rock You," and still performs with "Queen + Adam Lambert."
